Privacy policy

This policy explains what UK Pay Calculators (https://ukpaycalculators.co.uk) collects, what it does not, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller is Extro Marketing Agency LLP, Hubli, India, reachable at hello@ukpaycalculators.co.uk.

The calculators run on your device

Every calculator on this site is a small program that runs inside your web browser. The salary, tax code, pension, student loan and other figures you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or to anyone else. We cannot see them, store them or link them to you. Closing the page discards them. If you use the "Calculate" button without JavaScript enabled, your figures appear in the page address on your own screen only; we do not log page addresses with their query strings.

What we do collect

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request, including your IP address, on our behalf as a processor. We do not access individual request records, and Cloudflare retains them only briefly.

Cookieless analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page speed. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across sites. The reports we see are aggregate counts: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world from, and how fast they loaded. Calculator usage is measured as anonymous counts of events such as "calculation completed"; the values you entered are never part of an event.

Email

If you email us we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it, and for up to two years afterwards in case of follow-up. We do not add you to any list.

Cookies

At the effective date above this site sets no cookies of its own and no third-party cookies. If we introduce advertising or any other service that needs non-essential cookies, we will first add a consent banner that lets you refuse as easily as accept, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and we will update this policy.

Advertising and referrals

The site does not currently show advertising. If it does in future, ads will only be personalised with your consent, and this page will name the advertising partners and explain your choices. Where a page offers to introduce you to a regulated adviser, anything you submit on that form is sent only when you press the submit button, only to the named partner, and only for that purpose.

Children

The site is intended for adults in employment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights

Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests will have a short answer, but you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Email hello@ukpaycalculators.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

International transfers

The publisher is based in India and Cloudflare operates globally. Aggregate analytics and any email correspondence may therefore be accessed from outside the UK. No calculator inputs are transferred anywhere, because they never leave your browser.

Changes

We will update this page whenever our practices change and will change the effective date at the top. Material changes, such as introducing cookies or advertising, will be announced on the page itself.
